Hey everybody!
So hollers uber-baked comedian and movie lover Doug Benson at the outset of every episode of Doug Loves Movies, a boisterous live movie-themed comedy show with a rotating panel of comics, actors and, occasionally, Leonard Maltin.
Hard and Firm’s rollicking theme song opens the show, and an enthusiastic audience greets what is typically a bright and hysterical panel. Doug chats with his guests about what movies they’ve been in and what movies they’ve recently seen before leading into the Leonard Maltin Game, a competition based on guessing a film from its cast list and a brief description from Maltin’s app. He gets fantastic guests (Sarah Silverman episodes are always worth catching) to the weekly podcast recorded in L.A.’s Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater and, for a guy who proudly admits to spending most of his life in a fog of top shelf pot, Doug’s knowledge of movies is absolutely encyclopedic.
