Disney has released the teaser trailer for its upcoming Malificent, the live-action adaptation of its 1959 animated classic, Sleeping Beauty.
Angelina Jolie as the titular character and Elle Fanning as the spindle-poking Princess Aurora look perfect in their roles, and the fantastical scenery makes one feel like the fairy tale has really come to life. This is Robert Stromberg’s directorial debut, so don’t be too surprised if you feel a bit of déjà vu — he was the production designer for both Alice in Wonderland and Oz the Great and Powerful.
Relieved that Jolie mastered Malificent’s evil laugh.
